Start by understanding the application of the motor, then match frame size and motor diameter. Next, match horsepower, RPM, and amp ratings for your input voltage. It's important select a motor with the ventilation style appropriate to the environment where the motor will be mounted. Also, you want to keep a close eye on shaft diameter and rotation.
